Entrepreneur and wanderlust soul. I’m an adventure enthusiast, passionate go-getter, and lover of good humor.
After getting married and having my son, the corporate world in which I spent many hardworking years soon lost its appeal.
I was spending night after night looking down at my son’s sleepy eyes while tears filled mine. I rocked him to sleep after a long day of work, and I reflected on my daily four-hour commute and the way I missed my family who I was able to see only a few hours a day.
I was exhausted and lost. On paper, everything seemed great – family, newborn son, amazing husband, dream house, and a great job. But, in reality, I was the most miserable I’d ever been.
No longer was I making time for the things I loved. No longer was I waking up feeling alive and ready to tackle the day ahead. I had so much to offer but no direction for my go-getter approach to life.
I knew I needed to make a change.
I always wanted to have my own business, but I thought that I had to discover a unique idea or product that had never been seen or done before. Then I decided to ask myself this hard question:
“If money wasn’t an option, what would you do?”
The answer was simple: travel the world! Because travel was always my “go-to”, it never failed me in hard times and in happy times, it always made me whole.
Traveling has always been in my blood. I’ve been globetrotting since I was five-years-old and have been to 25 countries and counting. I grew up in a small town in Eastern Europe, studied abroad in Spain and Israel, and lived in New York City for 16 years before settling down in the suburbs of New Jersey.
When I finally was able to answer the question that dismissed limitations and widened my imagination, I was met with immediate obstacles — a young child, a mortgage, and a working husband. Picking up and traveling the world wasn’t the easiest option.
But I refused to extinguish the dream.
Boom. It hit me. The next best thing was helping others plan their next adventure and using my travel expertise to gift families a chance to make memories that last a lifetime.
I knew if it made me happy, it would make others happy too.
After this realization, there was no going back. My business track was set.
I started with little knowledge other than my personal travel experience and a Google search about how to start a travel agency. But I knew it wouldn’t take long once the go-getter within me had her way in my business.
Soon, I felt alive for the first time — pouring into my family and my business and working harder than ever. I would do research on my commute to and from work, and I would miss my train stop because I would be so immersed in what I was doing. I was so excited to learn about the travel business and to use my already long list of personal travel experiences to benefit others.
I believe every family deserves stress-free vacations that they remember and talk about for years to come.
I see you…
The dads who work overtime to get that promotion and can’t add another item on the to-do list.
The moms who do not have enough time after work and the activities of their children to have to plan one more thing.
The newly wedded couple who is busier than ever making plans to bring their lives together.
They all pour into their family and work, and there isn’t much time left for travel or adventure. They desire a family getaway to make memories and take a break from the pressures of the outside world, but the research and planning involved are too much. It’s easier to just let year after year go without taking a break or to throw together travel plans with the short amount of time they have but never getting the most out of their trip.
Does this sound like you? Can you relate?
Maybe even the idea of a vacation stresses you out. But when you think about it, you’re really longing for quality time with your family that goes beyond the thirty-minute evening dinners. You want a real connection that comes through experiencing a shared adventure.
My desire is to take people like you under my wing and be your travel-enthusiast fairy godmother. I want to do all the behind the scenes magic while you keep killin’ it at work and enjoying family time.
I’m an avid adventurer, passionate go-getter, and dream vacation visualizer. I’m a mama who has been traveling near and far with her son since he was a baby, so I understand the fast-paced work/life balance and go above and beyond to take the unpleasant off your plate — leaving you only with the dessert.
How can I guarantee your travels are in the best hands with Olegana Travel?
Here are a few reasons:
I see the places I recommend first-hand.
I explore the world, learn about the destinations, accommodations, and service providers.
I spend a lot of time, money and effort on traveling for the purposes of research.
I “go” so you’re “in-the-know.”
I can design a trip that makes sense logistically, gives you the best experience of your dreams, and entertains the entire family regardless of age.
One of my core beliefs is to always “wow the client” – under promise and over deliver. Period.
I have personal connections with many service providers, so if you are traveling and something goes wrong (let’s face it…life happens), I will be able to help you solve the problem quicker and more efficiently than if you booked the trip yourself.
