Day 4 – Day tour from Paros to Mykonos

Visit with us the gems of Cyclades. First Delos, the sacred island of the ancient Greeks, with its unique archaeological monuments and then the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos.

Archaeological buffs and lovers of legends can’t miss a trip to the sacred island of Delos, the archaeological jewel of the Cyclades.

You can see firsthand where the ancients lived and clamber over the ruins they left behind. Held sacred as the mythological birthplace of Apollo, Delos was at the heart of the ancient world as an important religious and commercial center, reaching its zenith in the Hellenic period around the 5th century BC.

Standouts include the Sanctuary of Apollo Temple and the Terrace of the Lions. The remains of private houses surround the semicircular theater, and the site includes several agoras, monuments, sanctuaries and temples. You can see finds from the excavations at the Archaeological Museum of Delos, including the original lions from the much-photographed Terrace of the Lions.

Another must-do is the climb up nearby. Kythnos for views over the island, sea and site.

Then head to Mykonos and explore the island by Jeep Safari! See the hidden corners of the island of Mykonos many of them inaccessible unless by jeep.

Enjoy breathtaking views, rural areas, beautiful beaches and the unique feeling of driving in a jeep! The tour takes you along the coast to Houlakia Beach and from there up to the lighthouse.

Afterward, you will drive through the area of Marathi, Fragma, past the dam to Panormos Beach. Then you will drive to the area of Ano Mera where there will be a stop at Paleokastro, to view the ruins of a Venetian Castle. You’ll explore the area around Ano Mera with its agriculture and the nearby old abandoned mine.

After you’ll head to the beautiful beach Kalo Livadi, you will have leisure time for lunch and swimming.

From there you’ll head back to Mykonos Town (Chora), finishing off with a photo opportunity at the old castle above the town.
