Travel for Galentine’s Day! Embracing the joy & adventure of travel
Guest blog post from Felicity Leo
Travel is About You, Not Your Relationship Status
As a single woman who loves to travel every chance I get, Valentine’s Day excursions can sometimes feel like an exclusive club for couples only.
But what better way to celebrate friendship and create unforgettable memories with both new and long-time friends than with the ultimate luxurious Galentine’s Day getaway?
It’s the perfect way to break free from the expectation that February should revolve around romantic dinners and roses. Instead, you can design and plan your Galentine’s Day trip around your own comfort and adventure — whether unwinding at a five-star spa retreat with rejuvenating treatments or indulging in a glamorous city food tour.
It’s all about embracing the joy of travel, which isn’t just okay — it’s empowering!

I’m often asked about solo travel, and the first thing that comes to mind is how incredibly empowering it is. Solo travel offers the space to reflect, recharge, and do exactly what you want. On the other hand, group travel lets you meet like-minded people, make lifelong friendships, and share incredible experiences with others who love travel as much as you do!
When you travel solo, part of the adventure comes from the new challenges you’ll encounter — like navigating new places, meeting new people, and making decisions on your own. Ultimately, you’ll find that these experiences boost your self-confidence and independence.
What's one place on your bucket list you'd explore solo, without waiting for anyone else?
I remember the first time I visited Paris — it was my first solo trip. Looking back, it truly lived up to the magical city everyone raves about. Despite a bit of a language barrier and the challenge of navigating a new city, it was absolutely worth it.
I fell in love with Paris, and it quickly became one of my favorite places to visit. It’s a testament to the benefits of travel: discovering new art, trying fresh cuisine, and enjoying the thrill of making new friends while practicing my French.
A must see: I would totally recommend a day trip to Reims and its breathtaking countryside as a must for your Galentine’s Day celebration, just outside Paris.
Perfect place to sip on the world’s finest champagne while toasting friendship on a Galentine’s Day getaway! Or venture to France’s famous wine regions, where you can taste a variety of wines and discover your newfound love for French vineyards.
Back in Paris, take a magical two-hour evening tour to experience why the city is called the City of Love and Light. Stroll along the twinkling Left Bank and the chic Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood. There’s no better way to top off your Galentine’s Day than with the sounds of lively jazz from cozy cafes and the timeless beauty of medieval churches.
Life is meant to be lived fully, whether you’re single, dating, or married.
Ultimately, travel is about YOU. Whether solo or with a group, it’s a chance to collect stories, try new things, and embrace the joy of being exactly where you want to be in life — no matter your relationship status.
