Here are The Best Luxury All-Inclusive Jamaica Resorts For Couples And Families:
Breathless Montego Bay (Adults Only)
Breathless Montego Bay is a newly built resort that is a sister property and connected to the Secrets St. James and Secrets Wild Orchid. If you are staying at Breathless, you get the perk of being able to use all the facilities of Secrets resorts too so it’s almost like two resorts for the price of one! Note that this two-for-one deal doesn’t work the other way around, though. As far as the overall feel of Breathless, it definitely has more of a party scene compared to the sister Secrets properties. The location is set a little bit off the beach but is just a five-minute walk through a shaded pathway. Nevertheless, you get to experience an amazing brand new resort a short ride from the airport.
Disclaimer: This is the only resort of which I don’t have my own photos. I am not sure how but I lost my album with them! So these are the photos from the Breathless website, but it looks as good in real life as it is on these photos!
Couples San Souci (Adults Only)
This resort is known as “The Jewel of Jamaica.” I saw why, as I absolutely loved this resort and its stand-out all-inclusive experience!
This resort is tropical, secluded, and romantic! Couples San Souci has lots of steps because it is carved into a side of a hill. But if steps don’t bother you, don’t let this turn you away because the look and feel of this resort is stunning and their belief is to always give you more of what you love! And who could say “no” to that?
Just like the other resorts, Couples San Souci is oceanfront, but it also has the perk of having a lake where you can go for walks and enjoy the beautiful scenery! As if that’s not enough to enjoy, it also has a natural mineral spring carved into a cave and an amazing pool to enjoy! In the evenings, enjoy visiting the iconic piano bar! Overall, the feel of this resort is peaceful and the look is stunning!
Pro tip: Choose the beachfront one-bedroom suites for newly renovated rooms.
Couples Swept Away (Adults Only)
Couples Swept Away is the largest resort but has a different feel than the others. The best way to describe this resort is that it has a bohemian chic, hippy vibe. It’s the perfect resort for active guests. Highlights of this 19-acre resort include the island’s largest fitness complex, a lap pool, and air-conditioned squash and racquetball courts. There is so much to do for those who enjoy constant activity and action.
Couples Tower Isle (Adults Only)
This resort had a quaint feel to it. There were many times when I felt like I was in the movie Grease because of its 50’s vibe.
With just a three-minute boat ride from the main beach, there is a tiny island that is used for nude bathing during the day and private events at night. This is probably the only resort that has something like that and also why it’s for adults only.
Also, if you are a spa lover, their Spa Villas are newly built and is one area that doesn’t give you a 50s feel while you’re there. The resort offers an UNLIMITED SPA for guests staying in those villas, so if you want to have a massage every day, plus a facial – go for it. It is all included in your stay. This is an amazing perk and also makes this a great option for someone heading to Jamaica for some major relaxation!
Grand Palladium Jamaica and Lady Hamilton (Family-Friendly)
The Grand Palladium Jamaica and Lady Hamilton resort is a family-friendly resort with a lot of restaurants, bars, pools, and shopping! It has the largest infinity pool in the Caribbean, tons of entertainment and also has several beaches with lots of activities. There is a nursery and kid’s club since it’s a family-friendly resort! It also has an awesome water slide for you and the whole family to enjoy!
Pro Tip: Lady Hamilton has newly renovated rooms and they also are closer to restaurants. For a special occasion, arrange a breakfast at the beach where a table is actually in the water and you are sitting with your feet in the warm turquoise waters of the Caribbean!
Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall (Family-Friendly) and
Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall (Adults Only)
The Hyatt Ziva and Zilara Rose Hall are two resorts in one nestled on the beach of Montego Bay! There is always so much to do at these resorts as they are always offering opportunities for sand volleyball, snorkeling, and more!
Zilara is an adults-only resort. There are a few beaches at the property for guests to enjoy without having to travel very far. One of the beaches at Ziva is very shallow, so it’s perfect for babies. Adults can go to both sections of the resort but kids can only stay at Ziva — previously known as the Ritz Carlton! The resorts have a fun Morrocan rooftop lounge which is perfect for sunset cocktails
Pro Tip: The jerk chicken at the beach is to die for! Also, the resorts are right next door to Jewel Grande Montego Bay which is perfect is you would like to do a split stay and enjoy all 3 properties in one trip.
Jewel Grande Montego Bay (Family-Friendly)
This classic-style, family-friendly resort was lovely! There were many options for suites with multiple bedrooms and also a gorgeous three-story villa with a butler. The resort has it all, including beautiful shallow beach and a splash pad for the kids. If you’re looking for a 5-star place to take your family, the Jewel Grande is a family vacation getaway paradise!
Moon Palace Jamaica (Family-Friendly)
The Moon Palace Jamaica has something for everyone — an amazing kids club with an indoor gym, water slides, great teen club with an arcade for which you don’t need coins, and an incredible spa!
You are also staying right in the town of Ocho Rios, so you can always go for a walk if being on the resort gets too claustrophobic. It’s nice to have an option for another place to go. Staying at Moon Palace Jamaica leaves you very close to the Dunn’s River Falls and also Mountain Roller Coaster. You will for sure want to check both of those out while you are there!
Pro tip: The resort recently expanded the size of their beach, so it is now twice as big. BUT, beware of the timeshare pushy salespeople trying to get you to join their Diamond Club Membership!
Royalton Blue Waters & Royalton White Sands (Family-Friendly)
When I think of the Royalton Blue Waters resort, I think of their huge water park and amazing poolside cabanas! There is a private plunge pool that is part of the cabana, two loungers, and a private outdoor living room with a couch and TV! As if that’s not enough, they also offer a fully-stocked mini-bar! Wow! You really don’t need to leave!
Pro Tip: It is cheaper to rent a cabana for a few days or even your entire stay than to get swim-up rooms at the resort and you are closer to the beach!
The Royalton Blue Waters shares restaurants and a water park with Royalton White Sands -which has a few older towers in the back of the grounds. Royalton White Sands has its own pool and also guests are not allowed to use cabanas or pool or beach area of Royalton Blue Waters if staying in White Sands. So be sure you’re staying at the Royalton Blue Waters if you want to experience these babies!
Here are photos of the cabana:
Royalton Negril
The Royalton Negril is three resorts in one.
- Hideaway (adults only)
- Grand Lido – au natural resort (nude bathing — adults only)
- Royalton Negril (family friendly)
I thought these resorts were absolutely stunning. It has a water park for kids, a very lively atmosphere, and also great food. With three resorts in one, there is something for everyone!
Secrets St. James and Secrets Wild Orchid (Adults Only)
These are two resorts in one. They share all the outdoor facilities and restaurants. Wild Orchid is a more lively resort while St. James is quieter. What’s nice about these resorts being so different is that you can go from one to the other based on your mood and how you feel at the time. It has a few separate beach areas so you can lay out in a different spot every day and get a different view from your lounger or you can find a spot you like and stay there. It’s your choice! Though not a huge, mega-resort, both these resorts offer a romantic feel with beautiful rooms and suites.
Sunset at the Palms (Adults Only)
Picture tree houses in the jungle! That’s what you get at the Sunset at the Palms resort! It’s a very authentic experience but modern at the same time. I loved the feeling of being in the jungle during my stay. It was a very authentic Jamaican feel. The Negril beach, which is one of the top world’s beaches, is right across the street and also has easy access!
Now that you have the low-down on all the resorts, which will you choose? I know it is hard to choose because you don’t know which one would be best FOR YOU and YOUR FAMILY!
