The Madonna di Campiglio town, along with nearby Pinzolo, Val Rendena, Giudicarie Centrali and Valle del Chiese are located in Western Trentino, in northern Italy.
Nestled between the rocky spires of the Brent Dolomites, and the sparkling expanse of the glaciers atop the imposing Adamello-Presanella mountain range, Madonna di Campiglio, at an altitude of 1,550 m (5,085 ft), is one of the most famous tourist destinations of the entire Alps.
When can you ski in Italy?
Blanketed in snow in winter, the area’s lengthy skiing season and other winter sports – together with 156 km of ski runs within the Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta ski area, Trentino’s largest – begins in November and ends in April. And for those looking for something a bit different, the silent beauty of winter is there to be discovered, either on foot or with snowshoes, along stunning, marked trails throughout the valley.
Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo are connected by the Pinzolo-Campiglio Express. A gondola lift will take you from a resort to a resort, as vou enjoy spectacular views over the stunning Adamello-Brenta Natural Park.
As much as 95% of the ski runs are covered by snow-making systems, guaranteeing prime skiing conditions, and skiers can choose from among 100 runs (including 42 beginner, 37 intermediate and 21 expert runs).
